The Healthy Living Podcast

Welcome!

After earning my degree in  Kinesiology and Health Studies from University of Regina, I entered the research and non-profit organization world to explore my passion for health promotion, preventative health, and research. Currently, I work as a project coordinator for an Inuit Land Claim organization where I'm focused on implementing a long-term Inuit health and wellness survey and research.

Since joining the professional work-force, the most rewarding part has been the meaningful community engagements and the unique experiences brought by travel opportunities related to work and research.

My approach to health promotion and health research is largely inspired by my minority background and the professional networks I have met along the way. My research interest is deeply influenced by my advocacy in promoting preventative health and accessible health and wellness resources.

As a project coordinator and researcher, I am responsible for coordinating and implementing a project assigned to me that reflects the organization’s mission and the values and identity of the communities that I work with.

As a result of my previous experiences, I have a seasoned perspective on how to create a targeted-approach to health promotion and research that is reflective of the culture and realities of the individual and communities.

When I’m not keeping busy with work and school, I enjoy crocheting, going to the gym and being outdoors!
